One of our Year 7 classes had a very welcomed surprise visit from Northern Ireland International Football Player Marissa Callaghan on Tuesday morning. A child from room 14 had written her celebrity letter to Marissa & Marissa was more than happy to pay Strandtown a visit. The children were so excited when Marissa arrived & one young lady seemed to be so overwhelmed at meeting her celebrity.
Marissa had a question & answer session with the children & kindly presented Mr McWilliams with some equipment for the school.
A huge thank you to Marissa for her visit & also to one of our hugely talented pupils who wrote such a wonderful letter.
